Gang-Related Shooting in Southeast Portland’s Centennial Neighborhood

On Saturday September 13,2014, at 7:07 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to an apartment complex in the 15600 block of Southeast Division Street on the report of a shooting.

Officers arrived in the area and learned that an 18-year-old male was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment.

Preliminary information indicates that the shooting is gang-related and there were possibly two vehicles that fled the scene after the shooting. It is not clear if this was a drive-by shooting.

While officers began investigating this shooting, a 2nd gunshot victim arrived by private car at Portland Adventist hospital. The male adult victim is described as having non-life-threatening injuries and it is not clear at this point if he is related to the shooting on Southeast Division Street.

The Gang Enforcement Team is responding to investigate the shooting.
