Christopher Allanach has been selected to fill the position of Legislative Revenue Officer at the Oregon State Capitol. Allanach was selected from a nationwide search by a bipartisan hiring panel. The official appointment must be formally approved by a vote of the House and Senate revenue committees at their meetings on May 22 and May 23.
Allanach received a B.S. in Economics from the University of Maryland and M.S. in Economics from the University of Minnesota. Allanach has worked in the Legislative Revenue office since 2006, most recently as interim Legislative Revenue Officer. From 1996-2006, Allanach worked as a tax economist for the Oregon Department of Revenue.
The Legislative Revenue Officer is tasked with planning, organization, oversight and general management of the operations of the Legislative Revenue Office. The Legislative Revenue Office provides non-partisan analysis on public finance issues and staffs the House and Senate revenue committees.
